Based on a Tweet from the company, it looks like the UK developer Flavourworks is bringing their full motion video (FMV) thriller Erica to iOS devices tomorrow, more than a year and a half after its original release on PS 4.
In the interactive, choose your own adventure movie game, you help guide a young woman named Erica (played by Holly Earl) as she tries to unravel parts of her family’s troubling past.
On the console version of Erica you could play the game with either the DualShock’s touchpad or via the PlayLink mobile app. For the iOS port, Flavourworks has worked hard at converting the game to work well with touch-screen controls.
Co-founded in 2015 by Jack Attridge and Pavle Mihajlovic, Flavourworks is a London-based game studio with the mission to design interactive experiences in unprecedented ways, utilising revolutionary technology from scratch to stimulate breakthrough experiences. Erica is the developer’s debut release.
According to the above tweet, Flavourworks is releasing a free trial of Erica on iOS on Friday. It’s unknown if the full game will also release then, but we’ll be sure to update you when we know more.
